The story revolves around the life of Kannamma (Roshni Haripriyan), simple and pure-hearten girl. She faces several trials and tribulations due to her dark-skin complexion. She gets married to a Doctor, Bharathi (Arun Prasad) who becomes her faith of love and support in every condition. Kanamma has a step sister Anjali, she believes that external appearance matters a lot than eternal.
